Fall 2020
The annual Health Insurance fee will be automatically billed to all full-time students during the fall billing cycle.  Students who waive their insurance in the fall may not enroll in the spring semester unless there is a qualifying life event.  A qualifying life event is a change in your situation, like getting married, having a baby, adoption or losing health coverage that allows you to enroll in health insurance within the first 31 days of the event outside the Open Enrollment Period.  To enroll due to a qualifying life event, contact Aetna Student Health at (800) 481-8814.

Spring 2021
The Spring/Summer Health Insurance plan for the Spring 2021 semester will be billed to all new incoming full-time students and students who were part-time for the Fall 2020 semester and become full-time for the Spring 2021 semester.

Health Insurance Enrollment/Waiver Information
Students are required to enroll/waive the University Sponsored Insurance Plan each academic year.  If you plan to keep the University Sponsored insurance, you may self-enroll prior to the University enrollment period.  The enrollment website for the Spring 2021 will be available on November 10, 2020.   If you have other coverage that is comparable to the University Sponsored Insurance and do not wish to supplement your plan with the University's Plan, you must complete the on-line waiver form to have this charge removed from your bill. To enroll in or waive the insurance plan, click on and follow the instructions. If you do not complete the waiver for the Spring 2021 semester by the extended deadline date of February 26, 2021, or self-enroll, you will be automatically enrolled in the Aetna Health Insurance after the waiver deadline.  Click on Enroll/Waive for video instructions on how to enroll or waive the health insurance plan.

Disclaimer: If you withdraw from all/some courses on/or after the add/drop period it does not remove the health insurance premium. You will still remain enrolled in the health insurance plan for the duration of the effective date. You will also be financially responsible for the full cost of the health insurance premium unless you have an approved waiver on file by the extended due date of Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

Part-time students
The University Sponsored insurance plan is not available to part-time students.
