Sunday Tea at Hobart Manor

In 2009 the Hobart Manor Revitalization Committee kicked off their annual signature event, the Sunday Tea at Hobart Manor, to bring alumni and community friends onto William Paterson University’s beautiful campus, to experience the breathtaking showpiece that is Hobart Manor, and to learn more about the history of Passaic County. The Annual event takes place annually on the first Sunday in June and includes a guest lecturer addressing topics relevant to Passaic County and its inhabitants, followed by the Tea in Hobart Manor. Lectures are in partnership with the County of Passaic. Information on this year’s Tea is below.

*The Lecture is presented in partnership with the County of Passaic.

“Table Talks”: Conversations about
Revolutionary Social and Culinary Spaces

From informal chats around tea tables to formal diplomatic dinners, social gatherings played central roles in shaping support for or against the American Revolution. Our panel of experts explore how the conversations and culinary arts helped to forge political loyalties and identities.
