Advisory and Advancement Council

The Cotsakos College of Business Advisory and Advancement Council plays a vital role in the life of the College and William Paterson University. Members, who are appointed by the dean, help advance William Paterson’s mission and strengthen the University’s competitive position among public institutions of higher education in New Jersey and beyond. Advisory and Advancement Council members demonstrate their commitment by investing generously of their time, talent and treasure in the future of the Cotsakos College of Business and William Paterson University.

There are four committees of the Advisory and Advancement Council:

  1. Education Committee
Provides advice regarding undergraduate and graduate academic programs including helping the College get input from local and regional firms about their needs, and for attracting, recruiting and retaining students. Provides assistance arranging professional enrichment activities such as seminars, workshops, guest lectures, internships, mentoring, job shadowing, employment, and scholarships for students and faculty opportunities.
  2. Institutional Advancement Committee
Provides advice and guidance to the Dean, the director of Corporate & Foundation Relations (CFR) and AVP Development to collaboratively develop new strategic relationships that align with college priorities and lead to philanthropic outcomes that will support growth of enrollment and student success.
  3. Nominations Committee
Assists in identifying and recruiting potential board members and assists in the development and implementation process to evaluate and improve the Council's performance.
  4. Executive Committee
Manages and coordinates the activities of the Council and its committees and consists of the Chair and Vice Chair of the CCOB-AAC and each committee chair.
