COIN 2018 Boot Camp


July 30 - August 2

The Cotsakos College of Business offers many experiential learning opportunities to its students including internships, business practicums, professional enrichment workshops (PE) case competitions, and mentoring programs, among others.  The Crux of Industry Niche (the COIN) is an initiative that provides industry-focused and scalable boot camps to supplement the existing programs at the Cotsakos College of Business.

This summer's annual industry boot camp will take place from Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Cafe 1600 in the Valley Road campus. Scholarships will be awarded during Thursday's Barbecue.  William Paterson University students majoring or minoring in Business (accounting, finance, financial planning, global business, management, marketing, professional sales) or Economics and attended all 4 days will be eligible for a CCOB COIN Project Scholarship.

This year's boot camp will focus on four different industry sectors and include an emphasis on Entrepreneurship.

  • Food Service & Supply Chain

COIN Boot Camp Schedule

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

  • 8:30 AM - Sign-in and Breakfast
  • 9:00 AM - Morning Session Begins
  • 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM - Lunch
  • 12:30 PM - Afternoon Session Begins
  • 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Individual Career Development Appointments


  • 8:30 AM - Sign-in and Breakfast
  • 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM - Morning Session
  • 12:30 - 2:00 - Networking and Scholarship Barbecue

Campus Housing Available

Optional on-campus housing for WP students during the COIN2018 Boot Camp will be available through William Paterson University Residence Life. You will need to provide your own transportation from the dorms on the main campus to 1600 Valley Road each day. Breakfast and lunch will be served at Valley Road during the Boot Camp. Various off-campus restaurants are available in the immediate area for dinner.
