Academic integrity refers to the values of being honest and ethical in one’s academic work. Its opposite is academic dishonesty. The following are some but not necessarily all of the examples of behaviors that constitute academic dishonesty: Cheating is the unauthorized use or attempted use of material, information, notes, study aids, devices or communication during an academic exercise or test. The following are some examples of cheating, but by no means is it an exhaustive list:
• Using notes during an examination.
• Taking an examination for someone else or asking or allowing another to take an examination for you.
• Giving assistance to acts of academic misconduct/dishonesty.
• Unauthorized use during an examination of any electronic devices such as cell phones, computers or other technologies to retrieve, save or send information.
• Gaining aid or attempting to gain aid in answering examination questions using any electronic devices, individuals or Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Attempting to circumvent any of the security features in the testing environment.
