An event hosted by the Friends of Bernie Sanders with Bernie Sanders and his guest Analilia Mejia will take place at the Shea Center on the William Paterson University campus on January 19. The Friends of Bernie Sanders rented Shea from the University for this event. The University is not involved in the event beyond providing the space in response to a request from the Friends of Bernie Sanders, who have entered into a rental agreement that is available to any entities wishing to avail themselves of this public resource. Consistent with State ethics laws, the University is not allocating any State resources to this event. As a public university in New Jersey, we are non-partisan and do not endorse any candidates for public office.
