The EAP is a service for William Paterson University faculty and staff and their household members. The EAP offers confidential short term counseling and referral for problems ranging from work-related concerns to personal difficulties that affect an individual's everyday life. Trained counselors help with problems such as career issues, child care, elder care, family and workplace relationship problems, finances, health care, mental health, retirement, substance abuse, and Work/Life balance.

The North Jersey Consultation Center, NJCC, is a mental health resource which provides short- or long-term treatment services to the community with fees based on ability to pay. Provides individual and group therapy for men, women, and children who are dealing with some type of loss: death of a loved one, divorce, adolescent transition, other major life change. Counseling is provided by licensed therapists, and short and long-term treatment is available. Groups are kept small and meet on a weekly basis. Interventions for families and individuals experiencing domestic violence. Services include crisis intervention, counseling, case management, substance abuse evaluation and counseling, advocacy and legal assistance. Also helps with court preparation and accompaniment for domestic violence hearings. ADV also has preventive education and professional training on domestic violence and related topics.

Parents United for Equal Rights is a volunteer, non-profit, parents rights organization. Dedicated to promoting the rights of children to have access to both parents after divorce or separation. They advocate nonsexist support and economic laws and advocate for grandparents' rights as well. They offer information and referrals on divorce and custody issues, special interests workshops and monthly meetings (currently in Lakewood/Brick area).

Sponsors group discussions, lectures and workshops for men. Some open groups are also available to women. Groups take place at Interweave offices in Summit and at various other locations. Coordinator Larry Lima and volunteer Richard Poole also provide assistance by telephone to men in crisis over divorce or other life event. There is an open men's discussion group at Calvary Parish House (31 Woodland Ave, Summit) every Wednesday night from 8 pm - 10 pm.

F.I.T.- Families In Transition, Conflict Resolution Specialists is a non-profit agency specializing in Family Mediation, Divorce Mediation, Parent-Child Relationship Enhancement and parent-Child Reunification Programs. F.I.T. is dedicated to assisting divorcing parents, separated parents or any family in conflict resolution techniques that really work! F.I.T educates families to the benefits of shared parenting and cooperative parenting. F.I.T. works closely with parents in co-parenting and cooperating together even though the dynamics of the family structure has changed. F.I.T. educates separating/ divorcing families to utilize alternative services other than expensive and prolonged litigation by helping parents and their families through the use of mediation services, seminars, workshops and clinics at affordable rates or free to eligible families.
