The EAP is a service for William Paterson University faculty and staff and their household members. The EAP offers confidential short term counseling and referral for problems ranging from work-related concerns to personal difficulties that affect an individual's everyday life. Trained counselors help with problems such as career issues, child care, elder care, family and workplace relationship problems, finances, health care, mental health, retirement, substance abuse, and Work/Life balance.

The Gay Helpline of New Jersey provides callers with information on a wide array of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered organizations and services, including gay social groups, counselors, and support groups. The Helpline also offers peer counseling services provided by trained volunteers

Help is provided to any lesbian or bisexual woman who is battered by a partner, ex-partner, family member, or roommate. Services include phone counseling and referrals to therapists and domestic violence shelter programs. Battered gay men are also welcome to use the helpline.

Eligibility: 16 - 21 year-old gay, lesbian, bisexual, or questioning youth

The group is designed as a support group for self-identified lesbian, gay, or bisexual (or questioning) youth and their friends. Encourages youth to socialize with each other and provides a safe drug/alcohol-free, no erotic environment for youth who wish to gain a better understanding of themselves and build self-esteem. Pre-screened adult volunteers are present to monitor the group. Meetings are held in South Orange and North Brunswick on Saturdays. Please check the web-site for specific locations and times.
