Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology Track 


The Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology Track offers students knowledge and training in clinical research theory, practice and skills using state-of-the-art facilities that draw on basic and applied work that culminates in a research thesis. Students will have the opportunity to work with faculty who have national and international reputations. The Honors Track provides a solid foundation for students interested in pursuing graduate study and careers in clinical practice and research. For students who may be interested, the Department of Psychology at William Paterson University offers a Master's Degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology and will offer a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology beginning in Fall 2015.



This program emphasizes the development of clinical knowledge and skills under the mentoring of licensed clinicians as well as the development of research competencies in the areas of clinical psychology and neuropsychology. The program provides a foundation for enhancing our understanding of the assessment, mechanisms and treatment of diseases, disorders and syndromes affecting human populations.


What is unique this program?

This rigorous program emphasizes the development of clinical knowledge and skills under the mentoring of licensed clinical psychologists and counselors as well as the development of research competencies in the areas of clinical psychology, neuropsychology and cognitive science neuroscience. Students will be provided with foundational and applied work that enhances their understanding of the process mediating assessment and treatment of diseases and disorders and their underlying mechanisms.
