INFORMATION FOR
Paul Meyers has been a busy freelancer, sideman and bandleader in and around New York City, as well as a WP jazz adjunct faculty. He led his own quartet and recorded a CD featuring the great saxophonist/flutist Frank Wess, andtoured with two of the greatest jazz singers Jon Hendricks and Andy Bey. Meyers has performed and/or recorded with a list of jazz greats such as Harry Allen, Kenny Barron, Ron Carter, Ray Drummond, Eddie Gomez, Wynton Marsalis, Bill Mays, Rufus Reid, Steve Wilson, and others. He is also very active player in New York's vibrant Brazilian jazz scene. Meyers leads his own Brazilian jazz group World on a String. He is also a member of Requite Trio. Hewas a member of the Terra Brasil, has performed with Tango-jazz pianist and composer Pablo Zeigler (Astor Piazzola's pianist). He has also worked with the great Paul Winter at his Winter Solstice concerts, featuring Winter with several great Brazilian singers.
