Winter Session

William Paterson University is offering two wholly online winter sessions this year:

6 Week Session: December 14, 2026- January 20, 2027

3 Week Session: December 30, 2026 - January 20, 2027

Current WP and visiting students may take two 6-week session classes or a 6-week and a 3-week class.  Due to their intensity, students are not able to take two 3-week classes.

There are over 70 online courses offered this year during the two winter sessions. William Paterson offers 2, 3, and 4 credit courses during the session.

  • It is recommended that only students who have previously taken online courses enroll for the Online Winter Session.
  • Online undergraduate visiting student and graduate non-degree admissions applications may be submitted through December 3, 2026 for the six-week session and December 8, 2026, for the three-week session.
  • Registration begins April 6, 2026 for current WPU students.
  • Registration begins April 7, 2026, for undergraduate visiting students from other institutions and graduate non-degree students.
  • Students may register through December 7, 2026 for the 6-week session and December 15, 2026 for the 3-week session.

Undergraduate students who have not yet completed a bachelor’s degree and are interested in registering for undergraduate courses who register for the Winter Session will receive an e-Statement on July 10, 2025.  Once the new tuition and fee rates are available for the 2025-2026 academic year in July 2025, you can view the rates on the Student Accounts' web page.

 

Graduate Non-Degree Students:

Graduate Non-Degree students who have completed a bachelor’s degree and are looking to register for either undergraduate courses or graduate level courses who register for the Winter Session will receive an e-Statement on July 10, 2025.  Once the new tuition and fee rates are available for the 2025-2026 academic year in July 2025, you can view the rates on the Student Accounts' web page.
