Follow these steps to see how you could best add value to your degree. Remember, the UCC allows you to 'double-count' upto 4 courses from the UCC towards your major. If you plan well, you could easily graduate with at least a minor or even a double major. Your total needs to be 120 credits to graduate.

How to Build Your Degree Path

  • Step 1: Select your major from the dropdown.
  • Step 2: Click on the catalog link to view the UCC requirements for your selected major.
  • Step 3: Select up to 4 UCC courses.
  • Step 4: (optional) select a minor OR up to 2 minors if credits allow.

Please note: this tool is a useful guide to get you started, please check with your advisor and with the department chair to confirm credit requirements for your major, or if the tool indicates that you have exceeded the allowable credits.

Step 2: See UCC areas for selected major

The UCC allows up to 4 courses that will count to both - the UCC and your major. To see which of the UCC AREAS contain your major courses, please click

and read the section titled "University Core Curriculum".

Step 3: UCC Courses: Select up to 4 courses to double count with major

This shows how many elective or remaining credits you still have toward graduation.
