Donor Scholarship Program William Paterson University has a robust Donor Scholarship Program that annually awards more than 600 scholarships totaling more than $1 million to undergraduate and graduate students from all five colleges. The scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the many alumni and friends who recognize the value of higher education and wish to make it accessible to students with academic promise and financial need. The Donor Scholarship Program Application for the following academic year is available online for all accepted and enrolled students during the second spring semester. Completing this single, simple application enables students to compete for all scholarships available. An essay and a letter of recommendation (from a William Paterson University faculty or staff member, or from an external supervisor, mentor, or instructor) are required. A resume and FAFSA are not required but are highly recommended. Students who are awarded a donor scholarship are notified over the summer via their William Paterson University email. In order to receive the scholarship, recipients must complete the required post-acceptance tasks by the deadline, as outlined in the award notice.
