Cultivating Awareness & Prevention of Sexual Violence (CAPSV) 

This course focuses on awareness, prevention, and response related to sexual violence, including healthy and unhealthy relationships. Through real-life scenarios and highly interactive content, students will learn:

  • the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships,
  • how to promote attitudes, beliefs, and values that prevent sexual violence,
  • three intervention strategies,
  • how to apply the FRIES method for defining consent,
  • how to support a survivor using the ACED method, and
  • how to help make their campus a place where values around anti-violence are the social norm.
