We Are Here for You!

New Student Programs (NSP) provides guidance, support and advocacy to first-year and undeclared transfer students at William Paterson University. We recognize that new first-year and undeclared transfer students are different. Therefore, NSP addresses the holistic needs of our students to create a foundation for success. We are here to help you acclimate and seamlessly transition to our WP community by supporting and creating transitional programming and enrichment activities to encourage, highlight and foster our high achieving students, which contribute to student engagement and intergrating students academically and socially to the University. In addition, NSP provides comprehensive resources, success tips, and information to first-year and new transfer students. NSP staff works collaboratively with various University departments in our students' transitional process.

Where Will You See Us?

You can connect with New Student Programs (NSP) at a variety of informational events such as; Open Houses, Accepted Students Day and various Student Orientation Programs. During each semester we host an array of academic workshops and social events. First-year, and new transfer students are encouraged to attend to learn more about academic policies, procedures, degree completion requirements, enrichment opportunities and available resources, and the chance to network with WP staff and peers.
