INFORMATION FOR
The Survivor Tuition Benefits Program (STB), established in 1979, benefits the dependent children and surviving spouses of New Jersey firefighters, emergency service workers, or law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition at any public institution of higher education in New Jersey. Half-time students as well as full-time students are eligible. Applications and additional information is available on the HESAA website. Submit applications and required documentation within the state's deadline. Awards are renewable.
The Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Scholarship (LEOM) is a scholarship that specifically benefits dependent children of New Jersey law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. The LEOM scholarship covers up to the cost of attendance, less other scholarships, grants, benefits, and other assistance awarded under the HESAA statute. Awards are renewable for up to four (4) years.
