INFORMATION FOR
Dr. Cascardi’s research aims to improve measurement of intimate partner violence from early adolescence into young adulthood. Her lab also focuses on campus climate as well as risk factors associated with intimate partner violence, including trauma, social information processing, social norms and gender stereotypes, and personality (with an emphasis on callous and unemotional traits, narcissism, and impulsivity, often referred to as ‘dark triad’). Research studies rely on observational, interview, and self-report methods. Ultimately, this work aims to inform intervention to prevent sexual assault and intimate partner violence.
