INFORMATION FOR
First Year Teaching (FYT) Support Program
As a teacher candidate participating in Clinical Practice II during spring 2020, you have demonstrated flexibility, leadership, and strength as your experience was impacted by the closure of school buildings. Through this experience, you have learned a lot about supporting students and families, teaching remotely, and the importance of a physical community of learners.
We recognize that you experienced clinical practice in a different way this semester and will soon be seeking teaching positions. Due to the disruption of your Clinical Practice II, the College of Education wants to support you in your first year of teaching with the First Year Teaching (FYT) Support Program. This program is an opportunity for you to receive additional support from the College of Education.
