Jazz Room Series
Janis Siegel

When:
Jazz Room Series<br>Janis Siegel

Overview

The fall series opens with the historic vocalist Janis Siegel, the veteran lead voice of Manhattan Transfer since 1972.  Her voice led the group as they achieved international popularity through the 1980s and onward, winning 10 Grammy awards and entry into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2003.  She has also been a member of Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra.  Along with her ongoing work with the Transfer, she has continued to maintain a wonderful solo career, and in that role, she appears on the Shea stage, with a band that includes John DiMartino on piano and Luques Curtis on bass.
