The Department of English is pleased to continue its free Virtual Writing Workshops Series. Lorraine Avila(she/they) is the author of Malcriada and Other Stories. She is a Bronxite with Caribbean roots in theDominican Republic. Her mission is to break free from generational trauma by continuing to rupture the traditions of silence. The writer will give a reading and writing workshop including an ekphrastic writing exercise.
