Add to Calendar WP New Music Series • IDENTITY with Matthew Lau, Percussion When: 06/02/2023 19:00:00 Overview IDENTITY is an interdisciplinary vibraphone recital with electronics examining the vibraphone's identity in the contemporary music world, and my own queer Asian identity in the percussion world. The program consists of standard repertoire from the contemporary world from European and American powerhouse composers such as José Manuel López López (ES), Steve Reich (USA), Daniel Almada (CH); on top of brand-new commissions written by Jordan Munson (USA), Taylor Ackley (USA), Massimo Lauricella (IT). IDENTITY is a curated concert length recital without intermission. This project is funded by the Live Arts Boston grant from the Boston Foundation, as one of the 2022 grantees.
