Endeavors to perform contemporary and oriental world music works that specializes in the traditional authentic Mediterranean music, using the Maqam repertoire. Reach wider audiences through innovative concert and master classes. Tarab & Sahar Ensemble includes: violinists Gabriel Dahrieh, & Michael Abdallah, qanunist Jamal Sinno, oudist/ bouzoukist George Maamari, oudist Brian Prunka, percussionists Sam Younes - tabla, Adam Maalouf – tambourine, Ryan Tabshi - daf, and bassist John Murchison.
The Ensemble has been performing a series of Tarab nights at several venues including Columbia University, Princeton University, Harvard University, Rubin Museum of Art which was organized by My Dream Speaks, (le) Poisson Rouge in New York, as well as at the Turaath Night at Washington DC.
