Course Syllabus

The Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) suggests that you include a statement on your course syllabi acknowledging the unique learning needs of students with disabilities and the process for requesting academic accommodations.

The following Accessibility Resource Center's (ARC)  recommended statement for course syllabi:

Accessibility and Accommodations

In accordance to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, no qualified individual with a disability shall, solely on the basis of that disability, be excluded from participation in any William Paterson University programs or activities. Students may seek reasonable accommodations based on the impact of their documented disability by self-identifying and applying to the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC). More information can be found online via http://www.wpunj.edu/accessibilityresourcecenter, by contacting the office at (973) 720-2853 and arc@wpunj.edu, or by visiting the office in Speert Hall, Room 134.
