To the William Paterson University Community:

Today we celebrate our veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces and honor them for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. It is also a day to reflect and remember those who have lost their lives in service to our country. Thank you to the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs, the Student Veteran Organization, and Omega Delta Sigma for organizing the planting of more than 6,000 flags in Zanfino Plaza as a powerful display honoring our fallen soldiers.

Here at William Paterson University we are proud of our many students, faculty, staff and alumni who are veterans and those still on active duty. The University's Office of Veteran and Military Affairs welcomes veterans and students on active duty to our campus with recognition for the dedication and sacrifices they have made serving our country. The Office provides support to veterans, active duty service members and their families by administering services that assist with the transition from military service member to college student. Our goal is to be responsive to the multifaceted concerns of veterans and assist them in achieving their educational goals. We are dedicated to maintaining a strong sense of community and connection with our veteran and active duty students.

Thank you to all veterans, those on active duty in the military, and their families on this special day of remembrance. We are grateful to you for your commitment and promise that your service will never be forgotten.
