It's the big Homecoming game against TCNJ, with a performance by the WP pep band & WP cheerleading team at halftime! In addition, The President's Cup will be awarded to the student group that brings the most alumni back to the Homecoming Celebration!

Model Rocket Launch
4:00 p.m. (time approximate after the football game) - Wightman Stadium
Learn about the nature of rockets and gain an understanding of the physics of flight with the members of WP's Physics department. The basics of rocket flight will be discussed with all attendees prior to launch, as a public lecture. Four rockets will be launched.

"Return to the Moon"
6:30 p.m. - SCIE 2064 - mixer
7:30 p.m. - SCIE 2064 - public lecture
The United States is actively planning and building rockets and spaceships to return to the Moon and go on to Mars.  Come learn the plans for the future, and what we hope to do with this final frontier. Lecture is being presented by Professor Jason Kendall. Free and open to the public. Doors open for the mixer at 6:30 PM. 

Stargazing & Telescope Viewing
9:00 - 11:00 p.m. - Wightman Stadium
After a day of fun, join WP professor Jason Kendall, who has appeared on CBS, NBC, FOX, WNYC, NPR and been published in the New York Times, as he and his students talk about stargazing and various celestial objects. Attendees will have the chance to view the night sky through an 8" Orion Dobsonian telescope and view the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Albireo, M27, M31, M45, and the North American Nebula.
Lights will be kept off on the field for the entire demonstration/viewing and attendees will be escorted back to the Physics Department at the conclusion of the event.
