Welcome to the Physical Plant Operations Department (formerly known as Facilities Management) at William Paterson University. It is our desire to provide excellent customer service to you and we hope that you will feel free to call or visit us at any time. We are committed to providing clean, safe, and comfortable facilities that are conducive to teaching, learning, creativity, and the fulfillment of the University's mission.

The Department is a true service organization. It exists to provide services and support to the University to carry out its academic and research missions through maintenance and repair of campus facilities and through the support of campus events.  The University’s main campus is located on about 375 acres. Physical Plant Operations oversees all aspects of building maintenance and infrastructure on campus as well as provides support services to around 2.2 million square feet of conditioned space. The department’s staff comprises nearly 200 employees serving the campus community 365 days a year.

We make every effort to provide this campus with services that are beneficial, cost-effective and courteous. Our primary mission is to help the University achieve its mission and provide excellent customer service.
