Scholarships

The Diane Kalish Endowed Scholarship Fund: This scholarship was established by the generous contributions of the Kalish family in loving memory of Dr. Diane Kalish, Associate Professor of Mathematics, WPU.

Eligibility: The scholarship will be awarded to a student who meets the following basic criteria:

  • Enrolled full-time student at WPU (at least twelve (12) credits per semester)
  • Demonstrates academic achievement in Mathematics with a minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Demonstrates financial hardship, not necessarily as defined by the federal government
  • Preference given to but not limited to female students

Marcello Llarull Scholarship Fund: This scholarship was established by the generous contributions of the Mathematics faculty, friends & Llarull family in loving memory of Dr. Marcello Llarull, Professor of Mathematics, WPU.

Eligibility: A senior mathematics major who has completed at least 25 credits in the major with a major GPA of 3.0 or higher. In addition to academic excellence, recipient of the scholarship must have a proven record of service to the department such as tutoring at the Mathematics Learning Center, active participation in the Math Club, Math Fair, Math Awareness Week, presentation of a talk or poster at a mathematics conference etc.

NOTE: Completed application forms are due in the Office, Department of Mathematics, Science Hall East 3030, William Paterson University, 300 Pompton Road, Wayne NJ 07470, by 12:00 noon on the first Friday in May every year.
