Competency 8: Global/Intercultural Fluency

In developing competency eight, you should be able to:

• Value, respect, and learn from diverse cultures, races, ages, genders, sexual orientations, and religions
• Demonstrate openness, inclusiveness, and sensitivity
• Interact respectfully with all people and understand individuals’ differences

The following programs will help you develop competency eight:

• Study Abroad
  Enroll in language courses, general education courses, or major courses for a semester, a summer, or for a full academic year in one of forty countries offered to gain international experience, acquire foreign language skills, and learn how to communicate across cultures.
