DDD Programs

DDD offers two different programs for eligible individuals:

  1. Supports Program (SP) - Anyone deemed eligible for DDD services may enroll.
  2. Community Care Program (CCP) - Has a waitlist and additional eligibility rules.
    • Must be reached on the CCP Waiting List or be determined by DDD to be at imminent risk of homelessness, and
    • Must be determined by DDD to require ICF/ID Level of Care (Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities),
    • There is a priority waiting list that individuals can be added to once both parents are over the age of 55.

Individuals may only enroll in one of the programs but can be enrolled in the SP while on the CCP waitlist. The majority of people served by DDD are in the SP.

How does the DDD budget work:

The DDD budget is not actual money given. Rather, individuals must work with a support coordination agency to determine how to use the budget. DDD services are provided on a fee-for-service basis.

Who can provide the services: DDD has two options for the provision of services. Individuals can spend the budget on DDD approved providers and agencies or use Self Directed Services meaning finding their own providers or programs.

Facts about Self Direction:

What services are available through the budget:

  1. Day Services – including employment related services and/or day programs
  2. Community based supports (SP) or Individual supports (CCP)

Examples of other services/supports that may be provided include, but are not limited to: Assistive Technology, Behavioral Supports, Environmental Modifications, Good and Services, Interpreter Services, Natural Supports Training, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Prevocational Training, Respite, Speech, Language, and Hearing Therapy, Transportation and Vehicle Modification.
