Here/Now: A Juried Exhibition of Student Artwork

Here/Now, an annual exhibition featuring William Paterson University student artwork, will be on view at the William Paterson University Galleries from April 8 through May 3, 2024. An award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 16 from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m., followed by an opening reception from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., in the Court Gallery, Ben Shahn Center for the Visual Arts.

Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday, April 27 and May 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On view in the Court Gallery, this exhibition showcases a variety of media including drawing, illustration, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, animation, and graphic design. William Paterson University Department of Art faculty members Eileen Foti, Ashley Gerst, Claudia Goldstein, and Steve Rittler juried the exhibition.

Also on view is Touch Me: Feeling Fashion, which explores the connection between how fashion touches us—clothes on our bodies—and how we feel about it, both individually and socially. The exhibition, on view through May 3, is curated by Laura Di Summa, associate professor of philosophy, and Casey Mathern, director of the University Galleries.
