Profiles of the Future: The Annual Student Art Association Exhibition

Profiles of the Future: The Annual Student Art Association Exhibition, featuring artwork by William Paterson University students, will be on view at the William Paterson University Galleries from April 10 through May 13, 2016. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on April 10, 17 and May 1 from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free. An opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Sunday, April 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. An award ceremony for the exhibition will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

The exhibition, located in the South Gallery of the University’s Ben Shahn Center for the Visual Arts, showcases diverse media including animation, ceramics, drawing, illustration, photography, painting, sculpture, and textiles. The exhibition was juried by William Paterson University professors of art: James A. Brown, Thomas Uhlein, and He Zhang.

Profiles of the Future is one of three exhibitions on view concurrently in the William Paterson University Galleries. Living Together: Nurturing Nature in the built Environment, on view in the Court Gallery showcases the works of artists Ellie Irons, Anne Percoco, and Tattfoo Tan. Marsha Goldberg: Smoke Rises, on view in the East Gallery, narrates the experience of war through line drawings.
