88.7 FM, Brave New Radio, is a team of dedicated and creative, passionate, hard-working William Paterson University students, learning under the guidance of the Radio Station General Manager, Rob Taylor, who has extensive industry experience.
As a two time winner (2018 and 2021) of the highly regarded, National Association of Broadcasters, Marconi Award for College Radio Station of the Year, Brave New Radio is a non-commercial, FCC licensed station serving a wide area of Northern Jersey, covering Passaic, Bergen and significant portions of Morris, Essex and Rockland Counties, resulting in a coverage area containing over two million people. You can also listen online, on your phone and via your smart speaker. Brave New Radio, officially known as WPSC-FM is licensed to the city of Wayne, New Jersey, and began operating on 88.7 FM in December of 1988.
From hosting live on-air shows, to covering William Paterson University sporting events, interviewing bands and recording live performances, as a Brave New Radio student staff member, you are offered from day one, a real world hands on opportunity to put into practice, the concepts that you learned in the classroom and in your coursework.
