Students who earn this Certificate will be able to explain strengths and weaknesses of various business entity structures, identify ethical issues that are intimately intertwined with operating and managing a small business and develop a personal framework for managing ethical dilemmas, demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities - how to recognize them, how to evaluate them and how to develop business concepts around them, develop KSAs (knowledge, skills, abilities) that are critical to being a successful entrepreneur, explain how entrepreneurial KSAs are transferable to corporate entrepreneurship opportunities (R&D, new product development, expansion, etc.)

 

This certificate is valuable to matriculated students from any major that are considering working for themselves. However, both nascent and experienced small business owners and entrepreneurs regardless of whether they have a degree can benefit from what they learn while getting this certificate.
