Students earning this certificate will be able to evaluate the technical, financial and operational feasibility of innovative ideas; apply “business plan” concepts to internal organizational initiatives; demonstrate an awareness of global connections and interdependencies; utilize quantitative skills and numerical data analysis as required to evaluate and promote the merits of their concepts; approach the challenges and opportunities of any organization with an entrepreneurial orientation; identify ways that profit making enterprises can address social, environmental and other problems that were traditionally entrusted to governmental and non-profit organizations
This certificate is valuable to business majors and majors and other majors across the university. An entrepreneurial mindset is a highly sought after characteristic, and the KSAs (knowledge, skills and activities) of an entrepreneur are valuable in any situation where an organization is interested in developing new and innovative ideas.
