Tech Innovation Day

Connect. Learn. Grow.

The Center for Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CSREI) at the Cotsakos College of Business is proud to announce the launch of Tech Innovation Day, a new campus-wide initiative focused on turning ideas into real-world impact.

This inaugural event of Spring 2026 invites students across all majors to identify meaningful problems, build tech-enabled solutions, and present their work publicly. It is part of the Innovation for Impact, CSREI's broader platform for fostering a culture of innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening applied learning across William Paterson University.

Students may participate individually or in teams. What matters most is thoughtful problem-solving, collaboration, using technology, and a commitment to building solutions that are feasible, ethical, and impactful.

Participants will explore issues they experience or care about. They will design practical solutions. They will test assumptions. They will refine their thinking. Through structured workshops, check-ins, and mentorship, students will move from idea to execution within a defined timeframe.

The program culminates in a public showcase on April 30 where teams present their work to faculty, industry professionals, and community partners. Selected projects will receive recognition, prizes, and opportunities for continued development.

Tech Innovation Day reflects CSREI's commitment to preparing students not just to study innovation, but to practice it across disciplines, with intention, and in service of real-world needs.
