Overview

Choir!Choir!Choir! is a Toronto-based singing group led by creative directors Nobu Adilman (AKA “Dabu”) and Daveed Goldman. What started as a weekly drop-in signing event at a bar in Toronto has turned into a global touring act. The duo has performed in holes, on hills, and on big stages at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Massey Hall, The Juno Awards, Joe’s Pub, at TEDx Toronto, and many more. They’ve been by guest singers such as David Byrne, Patti Smith, Rufus Wainwright, Rick Astley, Tegan and Sara, Bruce Cockburn, Kathleen Edwards, Colin Hay (Men At Work), Joel Plaskett, Sarah Harmer, and Chris Murphy (Sloan). The duo takes a non-traditional approach; there are no auditions, and the audience is the choir. You get a lyric sheet at the door, they’ll teach you an original vocal arrangement to a song you love, and a video is recorded of the performance. The intent is in equal parts: singing, comedy, and community-building. In the end, everyone has a blast and goes home feeling great!
