She began her career at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a world leader in serving science, where she was a client-facing project lead for a COVID biopharmaceutical, contributing to life-saving science and medicine against the COVID virus during the pandemic. She later joined Merck, a research-intensive industry leader, where she contributed to biologics process research and development, followed by Kashiv BioSciences as an upstream manufacturing scientist, where she worked on the clinical manufacturing of biosimilars—generic versions of biologic drugs—aimed at increasing accessibility of these drugs for patients worldwide. Reem is the founder and inaugural administrator of Arab Scientists, a professional network within the larger Arab Socials community, that provides in-person and virtual networking events, social events, and seminars designed to facilitate connections and potential collaborations between scientists in different time zones and regions of the world.
Proudest Professional Accomplishment: "With three years of experience working in the biologics industry, my insights on my experience with automation technology were sought out and I was quoted in one of the most prominent industrial magazines in my field—Pharmaceutical Technology! The best part was that the article was formally published on my birthday!"
WP Pride: “The best thing about William Paterson University was the wealth and abundance of opportunities provided to its students. I was able to travel for conferences, expand my network, publish in peer-reviewed journals, serve as a tutor, and later as an adjunct professor, all within my five short yet transformative years at the university of endless opportunity."
