Current Title: Senior Airport Engineer, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
Geovanni Molina is a an aviation noise technical specialist and senior airport engineer in charge of noise data and operations for Newark, JFK, and LaGuardia airports. He is also responsible for community relations in regard to complaints and data requests regarding noise. He became part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey environmental group that was able to work together with the Federal Aviation Administration to develop and implement different routes and procedures to alleviate certain areas affected by constant noise caused by aircrafts. Previously, as a member of the construction management division, he was part of the redevelopment and construction of the new Harrison Path Station, Newark Terminal 1, the LaGuardia redevelopment, the raising of the Bayonne Bridge, and the World Trade Center site. Geovanni is a volunteer at the Hoboken Shelter, helping to collect food, clothing and other necessities; he is also part of the shelter’s response team that assists women who have suffered from domestic violence and are being relocated to safe havens.
Proudest Professional Accomplishment: “Being able to be a part of the elevator development and installment of the Grove Street Path Station where my mother so frequently caught the train and had difficulty taking the stairs for years. I remember when she found out the station was finally getting an elevator, and she called me and said, ‘You're already working your magic over there and you're just getting started.’”
