Adam Beder started his journey into politics and government as a music student at William Paterson. Through his involvement in student government, he worked with students at universities across New Jersey to successfully lobby the state legislature for capital funding to invest in higher education infrastructure. After graduation, he landed a position as an aide in the New Jersey Legislature before beginning a career as a lobbyist and healthcare policy expert in the health and hospitals industry. Today, he is an executive with Hackensack Meridian Health, the largest health system in the state. Adam is most proud of his role in elevating New Jersey to one of the highest-ranked states in the nation for healthcare quality and promoting policies to improve healthcare access. A member of WP’s College of Science and Health Advancement Advisory Council, he serves as vice chair of the Somerset County Vocational and Technical School Board of Education, founding president and current vice president of the non-profit Advanced Medical Emergency Resource Coalition, and was appointed by Gov. Jon Corzine and reappointed by Gov. Chris Christie to the New Jersey EMT Training Fund Advisory Council.
