Holiday classics and songs by some of music history’s greatest female performers will be performed by singer and songwriter Sherma Andrews in her show Legendary Lady Singers, to be live-streamed as part of William Paterson University’s WP Presents! series on Wednesday, December 16 at 7 p.m., Friday, December 18 at 8 p.m, and Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 7 p.m. The show was filmed live in Shea Center on campus for broadcast online.
Sherma Andrews is a gifted singer, songwriter, recording artist and pianist. In her Legendary Lady Singers holiday show, she celebrates the season with classic holiday tunes sprinkled in with a selection of great songs from some of the finest performers in music history including Whitney Houston, Etta James, Tina Turner, Natalie Cole, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Billie Holiday, more.
Andrews has performed with the country’s biggest stars including Britney Spears, Branford Marsalis, Donna Summer, and more. While touring with Enrique Iglesias, Sherma stood in for Whitney Houston singing their duet hit, “Could I Have This Kiss Forever.” She has performed on shows such as the American Music Awards and the Billboard Radio Music Awards, and written music heard on All My Children, The Sopranos, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
