A new, full-service community center opening in Paterson will include services offered by William Paterson University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC). This new satellite SBDC office is in addition to offices at 131 Ellison Street, Paterson, and 1600 Valley Road in Wayne.

The community center is located at the former Madison Avenue K building at the Market-Madison intersection in Paterson. In addition to serving students and parents, it will also provide marketing, accounting, business registration, QuickBooks, and other business training to parents and local business.

“There are small businesses surrounding the Center, and the purpose of this community center is to bring the community together, so this is a natural fit,” says Kate Muldoon, regional director of the University’s Small Business Development Center.

“By offering workshops in that location, we will be fostering economic development in the area and helping the businesses to grow,” says Muldoon. Starting in 2020, the SBDC will be offering monthly business classes as well as individual business counseling at this site.
