Students to Meet Business Leaders from Top Industry Sectors at Fifth Annual Cotsakos College of Business Boot Camp from July 29 to August 1, 2019


Nearly 100 William Paterson University undergraduate and graduate students are registered to attend the University’s four-day intensive business boot camp from Monday, July 29 to Thursday, August 1, 2019 in the University’s 1600 Valley Road Café. The students will meet and interact with leaders from the metropolitan area’s top industry sectors.

Established in 2015, the Crux of Industry Niche (COIN) Boot Camp will feature 15 accomplished professionals, most of whom are alumni, to discuss the inner workings of their industry, their firm, and their own personal career path. Students are encouraged to share their COIN experience on social media using #WPCoin2019.

There is no charge for the event and students will have an opportunity to qualify for and receive scholarships. At the event’s conclusion on Thursday afternoon, students are invited to a networking barbecue, where scholarship recipients will be announced. It is anticipated that approximately 25 $1,000 scholarships will be available and awarded.

Mike Murphy, senior vice president of QuickChek, the lead sponsor of 2019 COIN, will kick off the event on Monday, July 29 at 9 a.m. He will be followed by Lesley Weiner, MEd ’82, financial advisor, MidAtlantic Resource Group, at 10:30 a.m.

On Tuesday, July 30 at 9 a.m., Kevin Lenahan ’90, a member of the University’s Board of Trustees and senior vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of Atlantic Health Systems, will address the students.

Jeffrey Millar ’80, managing director, Global Subsidiary Banking at MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group), will deliver his remarks on Thursday, August 2 at 9 a.m. Other business leaders scheduled to participate include:
