William Paterson University to Stage Scenes from Mozart Operas on November 16 and 17, 2018

William Paterson University will present scenes from two classic Mozart operas on November 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Shea Center Recital Hall on campus.

Scenes from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and The Magic Flute will be staged and costumed. Admission is free and open to the public. Le nozze di Figaro is a comic opera about trust, truth, attempted seduction, and fidelity. The Magic Flute is a timeless story of triumphant love set to sublime music.

The production is directed by Christopher Dylan Herbert, assistant professor of music and conducted by Lois Buesser, an adjunct music faculty member. Student performers include: Jessica Figueroa of North Plainfield, Paige Inglese of Hawthorne, Chris Lewis of Trenton, Daniel Lopzez of Wethersfield, CT, Bridget Maresca of Fair Lawn, Janais Martinez and Joshua Martinez of Passaic, Brendan Orfan of Old Bridge, Brianna Orfan of Old Bridge, and Pam Urgiles of Newark.
