 Diwali Celebrations to celebrate the "Festival of Lights"

Come join us in fun interactive activities: a lec-dem  by Dr. Payton MacDonald on the Tabla,  learn to do Rangoli- traditional pattern making with dry ingredients like colored rice, flour, sand etc, learn to write your name in the Devnagari script, among other fun activities.

Mithai  (Indian desserts) and Samosas will be served

Diwali or Deepawali is the festival of lights--one of the most important festivals in India celebrated by millions.   Although its significance  may vary across different regions or religions in India, its symbolism of the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance is common amongst all.
