Complaint Procedure & Disciplinary Actions / Approval Process

Employees of William Paterson University who believe that a violation of the State of New Jersey Uniform Ethics Code has occurred should address their concerns directly to the University’s Ethics Liaison Officer.

In breaches of discipline that concern an alleged violation of the New Jersey Conflicts of Interest Law or the Uniform Ethics Code, approval for any disciplinary action must be first obtained from the New Jersey State Ethics Commission. All alleged violations must be referred to the Ethics Liaison Officer for review and/or referral to the State Ethics Commission. Upon approval by the Commission, the proposed disciplinary action can then be imposed.
