  • University Recognition Listed as emerita/emeritus in the University catalogue, staff roster, and all other relevant University publications and websites.
  • Newsletters and Publications Recipient of all appropriate newsletters and publications from the University.
  • Certificate and Pin Recipient of a formal certificate of emerita/emeritus status. Newly awarded faculty also receive a pin at a ceremony in Hobart Manor.
  • University Identification Card Recipient of a University identification card. Update your University ID card online or in person in the Office of Hospitality Services in University Commons Room 217.
  • University Email Account Access to a University email account. Emerita/emeritus faculty will receive notification of upcoming EFA events using the William Paterson University email account unless specific permission is given to use a personal account. (The William Paterson University email account can be set up to automatically forward messages to a personal account; see >>> for instructions.)
  • Faculty and Staff Parking Access to faculty/staff parking lots. View campus parking information .
  • Library and Database Access Access to the David and Lorraine Cheng Library and library electronic databases. The David and Lorraine Cheng Library now offers a dedicated workspace for emeriti faculty in Room 204. The room currently contains 10 chairs arranged around two long tables as it doubles as a group space (either multiple emeriti doing work or a group of emeriti who might like to hold a meeting). If not in use by emeriti, the room is reservable by others (e.g., students, staff, faculty). Emeriti have priority. A key to reserve Room 204 can be obtained at the Lending Desk, which is on the ground floor by the main entrance. An advance reservation can be made by calling the Lending Desk at 973-720-3180.
