About Us

The Office of Education Enrollment and Certification supports students wishing to become NJ certified teachers as well as those who are looking to obtain other licenses to work in various public school roles by providing information about necessary steps and requirements and by working directly with the NJ Department of Education to recommend program completers for licensure and confirm successful program completion. Staff members offer support in the following areas:

• licensure options in the field of education
• selection of an education program
• licensure and matriculation requirements
• applying for state licensure recommendation (our office has the privilege of recommending qualifying program completers to the state for their education license/s)
• resources for PRAXIS preparation
• additional roles in education through graduate studies and advanced programs
• declaring or modifying an education major
• funding available for education students
