IRB Policy Revised, February 2014

The William Paterson Faculty Senate and the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs approved a significant revision of the Policy on Human Subject Research at William Paterson University in February 2014.  The revision includes a general re-organization of the sections as well as improvement of the sections on what should be submitted, what is included in a protocol narrative, what should be included in informed consent statements, and the review processes for different types of protocols were updated and clarified.  The policy also updated the IRB’s structure and responsibilities and its initial and continuing review practices.

The revision also led to the creation of new protocol forms and related resources.
