Sustainable consumption, leadership insights from Carlos Rodriguez, ADP CEO, and a discussion on the global financial landscape are among the topics and events to be featured this spring in the Cotsakos College of Business. “Sustainability Day” to be Held on February 28
The issue of sustainable consumption—how to minimize the use of natural resources and the byproducts of toxic materials, waste and pollution, that are involved in everyday consumer choices— will be the focus of the Cotsakos College of Business Sustainability Day on Thursday, February 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Valley Road Auditorium.  Clinton Andrews, professor and associate dean for planning and new initiatives at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University, will be the guest speaker. Andrews will examine the potential and limits of consumer behavior as a force to move the United States economy in a more sustainable direction.

ADP CEO Carlos Rodriguez to Speak at Leadership Forum on March 12
Carlos Rodriguez, the president and CEO of ADP, will be the featured speaker at the Cotsakos College of Business Leadership Forum on Tuesday, March 12. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the University’s Valley Road Auditorium.   Rodriguez was named president and chief executive officer of the company in November 2011. He previously served ADP as president and chief operating officer and as president of national account services and employer services international. He joined ADP in 1999 through its acquisition of Vincam, where he served initially as chief financial officer for a short period before becoming president of ADP TotalSource. 

Global Business Conference Set for April 4
The Cotsakos College of Business will hold a global business conference on Thursday, April 4. The event, “Rising Asia: Challenges and Prospects for the U.S.,” featuring a series of presentations, will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Valley Road Auditorium. Bankers, faculty, and a U.N. economist will debate the implications of changes in the global financial landscape for the U.S. financial sector.

Cotsakos College of Business to Present Financial Services Award on April 17
The Cotsakos College of Business will present the Pioneer in Financial Services Award to Tom Bradley, president, retail distribution, TD Ameritrade on Tuesday, April 17. The ceremony will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Valley Road Auditorium. Bradley is responsible for retail distribution at TD Ameritrade, which includes the Company's branch network, investor service and sales call centers, guidance solutions, investment products and investor education businesses. He also serves as a member of the Company's senior operating committee (SOC), which shapes the strategic focus of the organization. In 2011 he was named one of the 25 most influential people in the registered investment advisor community by Investment Advisor magazine, an honor he received in 2004, 2006 and 2009 as well.
