Policies

  • The maximum amount of time that faculty or staff member can make a reservation for equipment on Patron Portal is 72 hours.  Any reservation for more than 3 days (72 hours) will need approval from management.
  • Reservations will be held for 2 hours past the scheduled reservation start time after which they will be cancelled.
  • If you need to have another faculty or staff member pick up the equipment for you, please add their name to the Allocation Notes in Patron Portal or inform the TSW staff by calling us at (973) 720-2026, messaging us on Teams (TSW), or emailing us at tsw@wpunj.edu.  We will add their name to the reservation, so we know they have been approved to pick up the items on your behalf. Students cannot pickup equipment for faculty or staff without being sponsored by a faculty or staff member and getting added into the Webcheckout system.  Please email Rob Meyer (meyerr@wpunj.edu) to request they get added to the system.
  • When picking up equipment you need to present your William Paterson ID to our staff in order to take out the equipment.
  • While the Technical Services Window is happy to provide equipment for your event, we do not offer delivery, setup, or on-site support during events. Patrons are responsible for picking up their equipment from Hamilton Hall, Room 116, and setting it up at their event location.

To ensure everything runs smoothly, we recommend picking up your equipment early and testing it at the venue before your event begins.

If you run into any issues, feel free to give us a call at (973) 720-2026. We’ll do our best to troubleshoot with you over the phone. If the issue can’t be resolved remotely, we’ll check to see if a technician is available to assist on-site.

  • We don’t charge late fines for equipment returned past the due date, but we kindly ask that you return items on time. Equipment may be reserved by others shortly after your checkout period, and timely returns help ensure everyone has access when they need it.  Please also note that if the equipment is returned damaged, a repair or replacement fee may apply.
